Laggan

-it hasn't rained and they need to pay their taxes to the British to get protection. the tax is call Lagaan.
-they don't eat meat, its against their religion
-there where Indians working for the British, choosing to do so and going against their own people.
- The general also told the people empire that if he were to eat meat his people would have to pay the tax, but he couldn't go against his God just because this guy wanted him to .
- The British general living near there village made a bet that if they won a game of cricket to the British they wouldn't have to pay the tax for 3 years
- one of the men who didn't want to help support the main character in the game that they were going to play. changed his mind because he said shame on them that they would wont help their own people when a white lady would.
- One man turned his back on the whole health of the village by going and telling the general everything that was happening. He did this because he was jealous of the main character.
- They have classes but they are allowing the cripple to play anyway.
- They use numbers of people doing the same thing to be more effective.
- They won and the British left because of the shame of the defeat.
