The lighting in "Angela's Ashes" was had a sadden and poverty looking place, they did a great job with the lighting because it was quite convincing, since the family was poverty it showed how heavy the times they went through. Some scenes showed some sense of a joyful outlook, but then the rain and the darkening of the lighting was very clear that something indeed is going wrong. It wasn't until the end of the movie when Frank went to America were the lighting went from gloomy to a light happy setting.
