Let's do it, people!

First off, thanks to Nate for getting our blog up and running.
Now...USE IT! Remember that you need to post ALL OF YOUR ASSIGNMENTS HERE, including your independent film-watching and your duo/trio film choices for each two-week unit.

However, if you have problems getting on the blog, you will need to send your assignments to me directly at lusiamitchell@gmail.com. I'd hate for anyone NOT to get credit because they didn't post here or to me. However, this is a paper-free assignment class, so you need to step up and get your work out for your first progress report grade (which, I need to remind you, is rapidly approaching).

Just a reminder: Please read the Frank McCourt obituary that I handed out today and prepare to discuss (and then write) about how the insights into his life and work are either effectively or unsuccessfully portrayed in the film. As I stated, this is not about "I like it -- it sucks" but rather, about effectiveness/success in communication with audience via the various themes, conventions, and techniques you are now learning and will continue to learn.

LET'S HAVE FUN WITH THIS!
