Garden State

This film is about a man, living in Las Angeles, who comes home to New Jersey for his mother's funeral. While home, he connects with old friends, and falls in love. Garden State takes the viewer through the journey of a depressed, heavily-medicated man who finds happiness where he least expects it. There is a lot of 'dark' scenes where it is raining, or the lighting is dark. This lighting creates a calm, and somewhat depressing, feeling that shows the viewer what the main character is feeling.
